Flipped Learning
Flipped Learning is a form of learning where students watch instructions or informative videos online at home. They then work through the problems in class. This approach allows me to spend more time interacting with students individually and helping them when they become stuck, rather than spending the time conveying the initial lesson.
Please make sure students watch or complete the flipped tasks so that they are prepared for the next day's lesson.
Spelling Program
Each week students will complete activities based on their spelling words. These are a mix of Words Their Way words, SoundWaves words and words that have been spelt incorrectly in their writing tasks.
Students will be rostered on for the 'Spelling Rule of the Week'. When your child is rostered on, they will need to find a word that relates to the rule of the week (a challenging word that they would not usually use preferably) and complete the posters on the wall. They will need to have this done before the bell goes in the morning as they will share this with their peers after morning prayer.

Students will have a go at this every 5 - 6 weeks.
